This week the Norwegian newsmagazine A-magasinet published an extensive article from the Children Born of War (CBOW) project event which took place at Hotel Bristol March 7th 2022. In addition to the strong and emotional stories shared by three Norwegian children born of war (krigsbarn), the story behind the mobile game My Child Lebensborn and the establishment of the foundation Children Born of War project was elaborated by producer and founder Elin Festøy. Expert on the research topic of children born of war and managing director of the foundation professor Ingvill Constanze Mochmann was interviewed with respect to the importance of evidence-based policy implementations and the recent report by the UNSG and its relevance to safeguarding the human rights of CBOW. Furthermore, an overview of children born of war born in various conflicts demonstrates the need for further research as presently done within the ERC consolidator grant EuroWARCHILD, led by professor Inger Skjelsbæk, Center for Gender Studies, University of Oslo (UiO).
