Exploring Collaboration with Save the Children to Support Children Born of War

Last week CBOW Project Chairwoman Ingvill Constanze Ødegaard and Advisor Torunn Festøy had the opportunity to discuss important topics and shared interests with Save the Children in Oslo.

Some of the topics adressed were:

  • How to safeguard particular vulnerable and often “invisible” groups of children, such as children born of war in conflict and post-conflict?
  • How to share relevant data timely in times of crisis to save, protect and support children, and how to ensure that this data is securely shared?
  • How may the “UNESCO-CODATA Data policies for times of crisis facilitated by open science” be applied to support securing children’s needs in times of crisis?

A warm thank you to the International Programs Director Nora Ingdal, and Senior Advisors Maren Christensen Bjune and Thea Charlotte Andersen for sharing important insights on the work of Save the Children and experiences from the field.

Thank you for an inspiring and meaningful meeting. We look forward to continued collaboration!
